Account Deletion

ReSell Marketplace provides in-app account deletion. When you delete your account, your account becomes inaccessible and ReSell Marketplace removes, deletes, disables, or de-identifies associated data as described below.
If you have trouble deleting your account in the app, you can also request deletion by email.
Delete your account in the app
- Open the ReSell Marketplace app and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Open the profile menu/account options.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Once confirmed, your account deletion request is processed without requiring you to contact support first.

Please include:
- The email address used for your ReSell Marketplace account
- A short message confirming that you want the account deleted
We may ask for a minimal verification step to help confirm that the request is legitimate.
What is deleted or removed from active use
When your account is deleted, ReSell Marketplace removes, deletes, disables, or de-identifies core account content associated with your account.
Account data
- Your ability to access the ReSell Marketplace account
- Authentication-related records, such as password reset requests
- Pending signup verification records, if any
- Active account profile information where deletion is supported
Profile content
- Profile photo, on a best-effort basis
- Public profile access associated with the deleted account
- Public profile listing visibility associated with the deleted account
Listings and listing images
- Your marketplace listings
- Listing photos stored with our image storage provider, currently Cloudflare R2, on a best-effort basis
- Legacy listing photos stored with earlier image providers, such as Cloudinary, on a best-effort basis where applicable
Favorites and marketplace activity
- Favorites associated with your account, where technically supported
- Account-linked marketplace activity removed from active user-facing use where technically supported
Chat and messaging
- Conversations you participated in
- Messages you sent or received, on a best-effort basis as part of conversation cleanup
What may be retained
Even after account deletion, limited information may remain where reasonably necessary or legally required.
Safety and abuse prevention
ReSell Marketplace may retain limited moderation and safety records, including:
- Reports
- Report categories and report details
- Report evidence images or screenshots
- Moderation snapshots
- Block/unblock records
- Admin review records
- Related audit history
These records may be retained where reasonably necessary for abuse prevention, fraud prevention, platform integrity, investigations, legal compliance, or user safety.
Legal obligations
We may retain information required to:
- Comply with law
- Resolve disputes
- Enforce agreements
- Respond to lawful requests
- Protect users, the public, or the platform
Backups and logs
Residual copies may exist in backups, logs, or system archives for a limited period and are removed or overwritten on standard retention cycles.
Important notes
- Deletion is permanent. Once completed, your account may not be restorable.
- Some limited moderation, safety, and legal records may remain even after deletion, as described above.
- Image deletion is best effort. We attempt to delete account/listing images from active storage, but residual copies may remain temporarily in caches, backups, logs, or legacy systems.
- Public safety: If you believe there is an urgent safety issue, contact local emergency services immediately.
ReSell Marketplace does not sell personal data.
